K-On! College Manga to End in June

K-On! is a four-panel comic-strip manga written and illustrated by Kakifly. It has been serialized in Houbunsha's magazine Manga Time Kirara since 2007 and was later adapted into an anime by Kyoto Animation in 2009. The anime turned out to be a huge success, and an anime film adaptation released last year has broken multiple records with a total box-office gross of 1.9 billion yen. However, according to Manga Time Kirara, this manga is scheduled to end in June, 2012.
The manga ended the first time in September, 2010 but relaunched in March, 2011 with two storylines due to its popularity among readers. Chapters published in Manga Time Kirara focus on the main cast as they attend college, while chapters published in Manga Time Kirara Carat focus on Azusa, Ui and Jun as they continue their high school life.
