Live-Action anohana Child Actors and Air Date Revealed

According to the announcement of staff, the live-action television special of the anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day anime will air on September 21. It also mentioned that the child cast will play the main characters as children. The following picture shows the the child cast photographed with their main castcounterparts.

 


(From left to right) Santa Takahashi as Tetsudō "Poppo" Hisakawa, Chinami Yoshioka as Naruko "Anaru" Anjō, Minamide Ryouka as Jinta "Jintan" Yadomi, Kanon Tani as Meiko "Menma" Honma, Ruiki Satou as Atsumu "Yukiatsu" Matsuyuki, Karen Ichihara as Chiriko "Tsuruko" Tsurumi.

The characters is playing hide-and-seek in a poppy field in Chichibu in the live-action special.




The story follows that a group of six childhood friends who try to reconnect in high school after drifting apart. The anime also inspired a manga and a 2013 anime film sequel.



Masaki Nishiura is in charge of the project and Yoshihiro Izumi is working on scripts. Yuta Kano is responsible for the planning, and Sumi Asano is the producer.

 

Galileo Galilei will perform their "Aoi Shiori" (Blue Bookmark) song as the series' opening theme. The song is also the original 2011 anime's opening theme song. The band Silent Siren will perform the song "secret base ~Kimi ga Kuretamono~" as the show's theme song.

The live-action special's main cast includes:

17-year-old Marie Ītoyo as Chiriko "Tsuruko" Tsurumi

 



The special will air from 9:00 p.m. to 11:18 p.m.
